Envision a day at a spa - a chance to pamper yourself with a facial, a salt glow and a massage. What could be more relaxing? Nothing - if you choose the right spa that is.
"I wanted a complete environment of relaxation," said Michelle Giamberdino, owner of Face Fitness at 6810 Main St. in Williamsville. "A lot of spas in Buffalo are a part of hair and nail salons. There are odors from hair dyes, noise from dryers, and a lot of hustle and bustle that just isn't relaxing.
Face Fitness features small, private rooms for facials and massages where the only thing you'll smell is aromatic oil and the only thing you'll hear is calming New Age music. At Face Fitness our main objective is skin.
"Our focal point is face and body, which range from facials to acne treatments, microdermabrasion, salt glows and aromatic rain drop therapy" Giamberdino said. "We're into results - seeing people get results from our services and products."
Face Fitness carries two products lines that they use in their treatments and are available for purchase. These are Guinot, a French line clients may have seen in Las Vegas or on the cruise lines, and Murad, which features glycolic acids and vitamin C.
"We use the products during our facials and see how the skin responds. Our success in choosing the right product for the client's skin gives great results. Then the client can purchase the product that specifically works for them," she said. "We've had wonderful results with our products."
Face Fitness also handles hair removal with sugar or wax for facial and body hair - women and men. A full menu of services and a fee schedule is on the web site at www.facefitnessltd.com.
"I think most of our clients find that not only do they receive the best in esthetic services from an experienced esthetician, the whole experience is a pleasure because of the quiet environment," Giamberdino said.
"When I started this business it was a way of giving myself a job that I loved - so it was very important to me the salon reflect my vision of great skin care." | |
